Summary: An AU story set in 1960s New York City, in which we meet the jaded lawyer, the fierce feminist, the tough civil rights activist, the lost athlete who never got his shot, the ambitious college student who wants to see the world, the entrepreneur who is simply trying to cater to the highest paying customer, and the photojournalist there to capture it all. (I bet you can guess who’s who.)
Author's Note: Oh, GOD, remember me? First off, I must give a million thanks to
na_thalia for suggesting in a Ficcy Friday post (a long-ass time ago—punctuality is clearly not my strong suit) a story with Jeff/Annie/study group in the 1950s/1960s Mad Men era. Both the prompt and her patience are much appreciated—this fic got off the ground about five months ago and then promptly went into hibernation when my schoolwork increased tenfold, my creative ideas took a nose dive, and my Wi-Fi went kaput (my internet connection is literally the worst pizza burn on the roof of the world's mouth). I've slowly but surely chipped away at this story in the meantime—I fixed minor pieces to the first two chapters and reposted them to my journal (they're linked below), where the story will be posted from now on. I'm happy to be frequenting this community again—I've missed it so! xo Kate
